Fashion news: Vans partners with Discovery to benefit Project CAT in time for Global Tiger Day

In honor of Global Tiger Day on July 29, Vans has partnered with Discovery to help raise money for Project CAT this summer in style.

The Vans x Project CAT collection includes footwear styles available in adult, kids and toddler size ranges. The hero style in the collection is the ComfyCush Sk8-Hi which features a photoreal print of two tigers on the quarter panel, evoking the majesty and wild spirit of these magnificent cats. The shoes black and white typographic laces read “Protect Tigers,” while black stitching evokes Vans’ iconic Sidestripe. This style will be available for adults and the kids and toddlers size range will feature a zip-back detail. The wild tiger takes over the Slip-On in a style that will be available exclusively for kids and toddlers. Using a fuzzy upper, the features of the tiger are embroidered and printed across the upper and toe bumper. The Slip-On is completed with fuzzy ears and “Protect Tiger” messaging across the heel counters. Rounding out the collection is an apparel and accessories offering for kids to proudly display their support including a recycled cotton blend tee features a tiger’s gaze, underneath the call to “Protect Tigers” in bold orange lettering as well as the Vans x Project CAT pullover with printed logos at the chest and back. The girls’ apparel offering includes a retro-inspired tiger illustration across a recycled cotton tee, pullover and realm backpack.

Vans and Discovery will also donate $20,000 to help support Project CAT’s mission to conserve acres and ensure a healthy habitat for tigers, as well as other endangered species, well into the future.
